In early February, Academic Support will run a series of two practical workshops on Reflective Writing. This series aims to equip you with the necessary skills and techniques to 1) develop a sustainable reflective writing practice for the purpose of developing wisdom through knowledge and awareness; and 2) approach reflective assessments at NTI.
Workshop 1: Writing for Yourself
Monday 6 February 2023, 10.30 am (AEDT), 1 hour
This workshop focuses on reflective writing as part of your own personal contemplative practice. By guiding you as you engage in journalling and free writing activities, the aim of this workshop is to give you the tools and strategies needed to generate raw material for your reflective assessments and developing wisdom through knowledge and awareness.
Workshop 2: Writing for Others
Wednesday 8 February 2023, 10.30 am (AEDT), up to 1.5 hours
This workshop consists of activities designed to teach you how to approach reflective assessments at NTI. The aim of this workshop is to equip you with the skills to re-interpret, develop and shape the raw material generated through your journalling or free writing practice so that it becomes a piece of writing that you can submit as an assessment.
You must attend Workshop 1 in order to be able to attend Workshop 2. This is because the material that you develop when engaging in Workshop 1 activities will be used in Workshop 2. Please register using this link: https://forms.office.com/r/qEwQ2C7GPR
Please note that places are limited due to the interactive nature of the workshops. Registration is essential and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Additional workshops might be run depending on demand (dates and times to be confirmed).
