Dear NTI Students,
When permitted to use GenAI at NTI, you might be uncertain about how to use this technology efficiently to support your learning. Academic Support is collaborating with two of your peers to offer a workshop to equip you with the necessary skills to use GenAI in research with confidence.
GenAI in Research: Peer-led Workshop
Monday 26 October 2026, 12 noon (AEDT), up to 1 hour
Join us for this peer-led workshop where we will discuss when and how to use GenAI in research. Your peers will share their experience as we cover how to
- configure AI with base instructions
- design efficient prompts.
We will then open the session up, inviting you to ask questions and share your own experiences as well as discussing specific examples of assistive, creative and non-creative uses of GenAI at NTI. This peer-led workshop will be particularly useful if you are permitted to use GenAI in assessments tasks but need guidance on doing so with integrity and efficiency.
Please register using this link.
Please note that places are limited due to the interactive nature of the workshops. Registration is essential and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. An additional workshop might be run depending on demand (date and time to be confirmed).
Warm wishes,
The Academic Support Team
