In April, Academic Support will conduct two workshops to help you develop your report writing skills.
Report Writing Workshop 1
Monday 22 April, 2 pm (AEST), allow up to 1 hour 30 minutes
This workshop identifies the major components of a report. The differences between essay and report writing are highlighted. Student participation in examining and discussion of the commonly required report components for NTI assessments ensues. Attention is also given to the language and layout used in report writing. This workshop is recommended for any students who are asked to write a report as part of their assessment requirements.
Report Writing Workshop 2
Monday 29 April, 2 pm (AEST), allow about 1 hour
This workshop examines in greater detail the report components that only some of the NTI subjects require such as an abstract, table of contents and appendices. This workshop is recommended for any students who are asked to include report components in their assessments which are not covered in depth in workshop 1. This will usually apply in some MH and HSW subjects and can be ascertained by checking the relevant Learning and Assessment Guide.
